Therefore do not worry about tomorrow
Dear Beloved Members and Friends
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
As the outbreak of a virus sweeps the world, many have shifted from an attitude of panic and fear to one of praise and worship. There’s nothing quite like a crisis that brings people to their knees, and the spread of COVID-19 is a primary example.
Dear God, it is only because You live and love that I can face tomorrow. Praise You, God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.Last Tuesday, I heard restrictions tightened. The “circuit-breaker” measures extended for a further four weeks until June 1st in a bid to bring down the spread of coronavirus cases within the community. Many are disappointed as many had hope for more normalcy to work and family life. Sometimes life feels like it’s full of restrictions. How should we respond to all these circumstances? We can’t logic our way past the problems. Or yell our way out. Let’s be honest. Life can be pretty rough, and sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. Pray our nation will be protected and recover. All will be well. We will meet again.
God is never absent from our circumstances. He is present and entirely valuable to us. He is with us always in every situation we face. God’s delight to know us and be known by us. We can enjoy His grace, mercy and love. Only God can turn a global pandemic into the biggest recorded miracle in world history! Now is the time to learn the power of your identity in Christ as a reality, not a concept.
These are testing times for many of us as we face the COVID-19 epidemic. Every crisis is different, especially one you have never faced before. The church has you and your family in our hearts and praying for you. Though these unprecedented times may give us a load of uncertainty that seems too heavy to bear, God gives us this promise: You'll get through this. Keep calm and carry on. Under no circumstance should we panic or fear (John 14:27). Wash your hands. Have clean hands and live clean lives. Be right with God and walk with Him. Build up your physical and spiritual immune system, for when it is strong spiritually, you can withstand anything.
We love you and can’t wait to see you again soon. In the meantime, keep connected through joining Facebook group or send us messages through the social media and internet. With God’s Protection and Preservation,
Pastor David Lee, Staff, Board and Church
