Reopening of Onsite Church Service

Dear Members and Friends,

It has been more than 7 months since our church has temporarily stop Onsite services and have gone Online. During this time, the Board and Church Staff have been keeping updated with the regulations provided by the Ministry of Community, Culture and Youth (MCCY). We would like to update you on what is happening at church.

Firstly, we would like to thank God for seeing us through this COVID season. There was ongoing Online services, major repair works in our auditorium, funerals and weddings in between. Nonetheless we are thankful to God for His faithfulness towards the church. We are also glad to announce that our auditorium renovation has been completed and is ready for Onsite services to resume. Here is some information for our church gatherings according to our onsite.

Our church did an Onsite Dedication service on the 1 Nov 2020 where the Board Members, Trustees and Council Leaders and their families were invited to pilot the reopening. There was a testing of systems pertaining to the technical flow and crowd control, to adhere to Safety Management Measures recommended by MCCY. We will continue reopening in phases according to the dates given below for all our members and visitors who are coming back to church Onsite for services.

1 Nov 2020 Board, Trustees and Council Leaders and their immediate family

8 Nov 2020 Board, Trustees, Council Leaders, Worship Team, Welcome Team

and Ministry Leaders.

15 Nov 2020 – Open to all

Services will be held Onsite and broadcasted live on so that everyone, even those at home can attend the service together.

Chinese Ministry will continue to use the same model by being Onsite + Live Broadcast via ZOOM that is open to all.

Children below the ages of 10 are not allowed to enter the Church premises till further notice.

According to the latest MCCY regulations, the increase in numbers from 5 to 8 in a group is soon to be is allowed. Hence the church would highly encourage the Small Groups to resume gathering 5* in a group outside or 5* to visit a home for Small Group Meetings. If a group is unable to gather face-to-face, you may like to consider continuing with ZOOM meetings until further easing of regulations.

*small group gathering can start to gather to 8 persons immediately upon government’s announcement.

DCKids will tentatively resume in Dec 2020 whilst the other Next Gen Ministries, the Youth and Young Adults will continue meeting over ZOOM until further notice.

There are three zones in the church, Zone 1 (the front of the Auditorium), Zone 2 (the back of the Auditorium), Zone 3 (Hall 1).

The QR code will be shared Onscreen and also found at the back of the chairs. Do remember also to pick up the individually packed Holy Communion Elements at the lobby which we will partake together during the service every first week of the month.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep everyone informed whenever we receive new information. We know that this has been a trying time for all of us. Please continue to hang in there and look out for one another. We would like everyone to look forward to coming back to church as there will be great encouragement in spurring one another face to face. Our prayer for us all is to continue pressing on with God’s strength and courage.

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
