Our history
The church was initially called Contemporary Christian Centre started by Rev Peter Tay in 1976.

On 1 March 1986, Pastor David Lee was appointed Senior Pastor and the church was registered as Maranatha Christian Assembly.
​
The church started with humble beginnings with a small congregation and little in the bank, but God is our provider. Our journey began at Jasmine Road, followed by Imperial Theatre, YMCA, Park View Ballroom, Trinity Theological College, Holiday Inn Park View and finally we purchased our own unit at LHK2 Building at Playfair Road in 2001. The church has also grown from strength to strength and now own 2 units at LHK2 with a vibrant congregation.

On 31st July 2022, Rev Dr David Lee passed on the Senior Pastor position to Rev Dr Alvin Lim after leading Maranatha for 36 years. Pastor David continues to be active in mission works in Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand as a lay minister.

We can only thank God for His faithfulness, steadfast love and divine providence that has brought us from thence till now.
